The Black Angels – 2006-07-29

So the second day of the Capitol Hill Block Party was today. I missed the first day because I was out of town visiting my folks, but I caught some of the second day.

I was hoping to be able to to tape Minus The Bear, The Black Angels and The Murder City Devils but things didn’t quite pan out. I got there too late to set up in time for Minus The Bear and after The Black Angels played I was too tired to sit through a hip-hop act to wait for The Murder City Devils, so I bounced.

Don’t worry about the MCD and MTB sets being taped, though. There were three other tapers covering the show so they got taped and will be torrented about the land I’m sure. Also, I’m seeing MCD play tomorrow night at The Showbox so I’ll tape them then.

    OUTSTANDING!

    It’s jackpot time for me since Saturday was Black Angel day for me and they were my main event for the entire 2 day party so I lucked out that was the one show you taped.

    Thanks for sharing your recording and putting it up so FAST! It was also nice to meet you in person and so totally cool you were willing to let us use your cable. THANKS VERY MUCH!

    We have the cable safe and sound, and will be sure and get it back to you. I wasn’t in on the conversation about us hanging onto it, but if you need it in the next few days please let me know and I’ll either drop it off to you or send it.

    Cool, thanks Douglas. I can get the cable back whenever… it’s not a huge priority. I’ll also throw my recording up on the LMA soon but if you get to it first, that’s fine with me.
